Happiness is a relative emotion.  One thing that may make you happy may not make another person happy, but one thing that makes us all happy is Coca-Cola.  This campaign is a few years old but is still a great example of public relations and fostering the connection with your publics. Coca-Cola decided that they wanted to spread some joy in the world and set up different machines that would give out free coke or flowers or even a giant party sub sandwich.  Watch this video and see the joy on these people's faces as they get more than just a free coke.

This campaign is a great example of making the world a better place, connecting with your public, and giving back to the community.  All of those are keys to a successful public relations campaign.  As Abraham Lincoln once said, "Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be."  So why not help them decide to be a little bit happier?
